Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday announced a major Dhanteras relief package, transferring Rs 4,470.77 crore directly into the bank accounts of beneficiaries, panchayats and municipal bodies under various government schemes. The announcement was made during a press conference in Chandigarh on November 6. Saini also announced a 3 per cent increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for state government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) for pensioners, taking the rate from 60 per cent to 63 per cent.
