Chandigarh, October 17, 2025— The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday arrested Ropar Range DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar for allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹8 lakh from a scrap dealer in Mandi Gobindgarh. The officer was caught red-handed in a trap laid by the agency at his Mohali office.Following his arrest, CBI teams conducted searches at Bhullar’s residence, recovering ₹5 crore in cash, 1.5 kilograms of gold jewellery, multiple luxury cars and watches, and important documents.After undergoing a medical examination, Bhullar was presented before the CBI court and sent to 14 days of judicial custody.
