Calgary home prices decline in July as supply returns to pre-pandemic levels

Calgary (Rajeev Sharma): Calgary's housing inventory has reverted to pre-pandemic levels, driven by a substantial increase in supply last month, according to the Calgary Real Estate Board. Most of the growth has been led by homes built in newer communities, which have raised the number of available units to nearly 7,000. This amounts to 3.3 months of supply, an 88 per cent increase compared to last year. The rise in supply coincided with a drop in sales, which fell by 12 per cent to 2,099.
