Birbhum (Rajeev Sharma): Asish Bandyopadhyay, former Trinamool Congress MLA from Rampurhat and former Deputy Speaker of the West Bengal Assembly, was found dead at a party office in Birbhum, according to district police. Police said Bandyopadhyay was found hanging inside the office. A note was recovered during the initial examination of the scene, in which he reportedly stated that no one was responsible for his death.
