Haryana Cabinet Approves Stamp Duty Cut for PMAY-U 2.0 Beneficiaries

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): The Haryana Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, approved a proposal on Tuesday to significantly reduce stamp duty and registration fees for beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) 2.0. The decision aims to ease the financial burden on Economically Weaker Section (EWS) families purchasing affordable housing units up to 60 square metres. Under the new provision, eligible EWS beneficiaries will pay a fixed fee of just ₹500 for conveyance deeds.
