Surrey (Amrit Dhot): Thousands of people packed the Cloverdale Agriplex for Inspire Dance Academy’s sold-out Dandiya Dhoom 2026, which brought acclaimed “Queen of Dandiya” Falguni Pathak to Metro Vancouver for a high-energy celebration of Indian music, dance and culture.
The major Janmashtami Mahotsav celebration drew a strong community turnout and included the Mayor of Surrey, dignitaries and several elected representatives, highlighting the growing prominence of South Asian cultural events in British Columbia.
Falguni Pathak’s live appearance marked a significant milestone for the local South Asian community. The sold-out response also reflected strong public interest in large-scale cultural celebrations.
The event’s success was made possible by the extensive coordination and efforts of the Inspire Dance Academy team, production crew, organizers and volunteers, who helped deliver a large-scale celebration of music, dance, entertainment and community participation.
