Chandigarh (Naval Kishore): Ritika Performing Arts Society organized “Parampara – A Tribute to Legendary Guru Pt. Hazari Lal Gangani” at Rani Laxmi Bai Auditorium in Sector-38 C, Chandigarh. The cultural gathering brought together prominent dignitaries, classical artists, and art enthusiasts to honor the enduring legacy of the Kathak maestro.
Justice Rajan Gupta presided over the memorial event alongside distinguished chief guests, including Praneet Singh Sachdeva (IRS), Ajay Sharma (IAS), and Bhawna Garg (IAS). Family members and disciples paid homage to the late guru’s invaluable contributions to Indian classical dance. Notable attendees included his elder son Pt. Prem Shankar Gangani, Pt. Hanuman Prasad Gangani, Guru Panna Lal Gangani, Pt. Dhan Prakash Gangani, Vinod Gangani, Pt. Hemraj Verma, and Rakesh Parihar.
The evening opened with a vocal recital by disciples of Dr. Amit Gangani and Abhishek Gangani, featuring singers Pahulpreet, Suhani Sharma, and Aakanksha Gupta. Following the musical prelude, a series of Kathak dance performances were presented by Vaidehi Anand, Suchismita Ojha, Dr. Tripta Bhatia, Dr. Deepika Jena, Anshu Mittal, Priyanshi Gangani, Kohana, Maira, Samaira, and Guddi Rani. Tabla accompaniment was led by Amey Shankar Gangani, supported by Shekhar Gangani, Aditya Gangani, Dr. Manoj Kumar, Bunty Arya, and Shivam Gill.
