Panchkula Zone Power Consumers to Get Quick Grievance Redressal with Special Meetings Scheduled for July

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): The Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) has released the schedule for its Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum proceedings for July 2026 to ensure reliable, high-voltage, and uninterrupted power supply. Aimed at achieving complete consumer satisfaction, these special sessions are designed to resolve ongoing public complaints quickly. The redressal meetings are scheduled to take place on July 6, 13, 20, and 27 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the UHBVN Headquarters, Vidyut Sadan, Sector-14, Panchkula.

An official spokesperson for the power corporation stated that the forum will address grievances from consumers residing across Kurukshetra, Ambala, Panchkula, Kaithal, and Yamunanagar. In accordance with regulation 2.8.2 of the Grievance Redressal Forum, the committee will specifically hear cases involving financial disputes ranging between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 3 lakh.

The forum will focus on resolving issues related to incorrect billing, tariff rates, meter security deposits, defective meters, and voltage fluctuations. However, the spokesperson clarified that cases involving electricity theft, unauthorized use of power, and fatal or non-fatal accidents will not be entertained during these sessions.
