New Delhi (Rajeev Sharma): The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced a revised schedule for NEET-SS 2025 Round 2 counselling after the Delhi High Court directed that petitioning candidates be permitted to register and participate in the admission process.
In an official notice dated August 5, the MCC stated that it has withdrawn its earlier notification issued on August 3 with immediate effect in compliance with the court’s order in Sunil & Another vs Medical Counselling Committee (W.P. (C) No. 11097/2026).
As part of the revised process, the committee has decided to keep the resignation portal open until 4 p.m. on August 7, allowing eligible candidates additional time to complete the required formalities.
The notice further states that registration and choice filling for Round 2 will recommence from 10 a.m. on August 9, in line with the updated counselling schedule.
The MCC said the changes were introduced after taking into account the observations made by the High Court, ensuring that candidates covered under the court’s directions are given an opportunity to participate in the counselling process.
Candidates seeking admission through NEET-SS have been advised to refer to the revised timetable available on the MCC’s official website and complete all necessary steps within the newly announced deadlines.
