Gurpreet Singh :- Punjab Police has claimed to have cracked the murder case of RTI activist Simranjit Singh within hours of the incident, with preliminary investigations pointing towards a financial dispute linked to a land transaction as the motive behind the killing.
According to police officials, the investigation has revealed that the crime was allegedly carried out by individuals related to the victim. Authorities believe that a long-standing disagreement over money connected to a land deal escalated into a deadly confrontation, ultimately resulting in Simranjit Singh’s murder.

Police Commissionerate officials stated that multiple leads were pursued immediately after the incident, and crucial evidence was gathered from the crime scene and other sources. Investigators have also questioned several individuals connected to the case in an effort to establish the complete sequence of events.
Officials said the probe is still underway and that all angles are being examined thoroughly. While the initial findings indicate a land-related financial dispute as the primary reason behind the murder, police have not ruled out further developments.
Authorities have maintained that additional revelations may emerge as the investigation progresses and more evidence is analysed. Further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the ongoing inquiry.
