Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao presided over a high-level meeting in Chandigarh with representatives of the Multipurpose Health Supervisors (Male/Female) and the ASHA Worker Union. The primary objective of the interaction was to address long-pending demands, workplace challenges, and operational grievances faced by frontline healthcare personnel across the state. Additional Chief Secretary of the Health Department Dr. Sumita Mishra, National Health Mission Haryana Mission Director R.S. Dhillon, and NHM Director Dr. Virender Yadav were among the senior departmental officials in attendance.
During the session, union delegates presented a comprehensive outline of their core issues and administrative expectations to the minister. Listening to the concerns raised by the healthcare workers, Aarti Singh Rao directed present officials to resolve all legitimate demands on a priority basis within a defined timeframe. She emphasized that multipurpose health supervisors and ASHA workers play an essential role in strengthening Haryana’s public health infrastructure, serving as the direct link between state welfare schemes and grassroots communities.
To ensure prompt outcomes, the Health Minister instructed department heads to expedite file processing and take immediate action on the key points submitted by the delegation. She reiterated that maintaining a supportive work environment and safeguarding employee interests remain top priorities for the state administration. The meeting concluded with assurances from senior health administrators that administrative procedures would be fast-tracked to deliver timely resolutions for frontline workers.
