Haryana QAA Chairman Sameer Pal Srow Meets Senior QCI Officials in New Delhi

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Sameer Pal Srow, Chairman of the Haryana Quality Assurance Authority (QAA), held a strategic meeting with senior executives of the Quality Council of India (QCI) at the council’s headquarters in New Delhi. The high-level dialogue marks a significant step forward in deepening institutional cooperation following a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two entities earlier this year.

The discussion focused on bolstering Haryana’s existing quality assurance framework, fostering a pervasive culture of quality across state departments, and ensuring strict compliance with engineering standards. Participants evaluated methods to upgrade quality inspection protocols for public infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and public buildings, while integrating modern quality management systems.

Deliberations also addressed capacity building, the adoption of advanced technology, and mutual expertise sharing to enhance project monitoring, operational efficiency, and long-term infrastructure maintenance. Both organisations explored opportunities for strategic collaboration and targeted interventions across various developmental sectors in the state.

Highlighting the importance of modern standards, Sameer Pal Srow stated that achieving durable, high-quality infrastructure requires seamless coordination between cutting-edge technology, a skilled workforce, and robust quality assurance mechanisms. He added that leveraging QCI’s expertise will significantly strengthen quality benchmarks across Haryana.

The meeting was attended by QCI Secretary General Chakravarthy T. Kannan, QAA Head Technical Vipin Sharma, and other senior officials, who reaffirmed their joint commitment to executing fresh quality initiatives across the state.
