Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Governor Professor Asim Kumar Ghosh called upon the youth to pledge themselves to becoming job creators rather than job seekers. He emphasised that by embracing entrepreneurship, innovation, and self-reliance, young minds can transform their progressive ideas into successful enterprises, creating employment opportunities for others and playing a pivotal role in nation-building.
The Governor made these remarks while addressing a student delegation from Tripura visiting Haryana under the “Yuva Sangam” program, an initiative organized as part of the “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” campaign at Lok Bhavan in Chandigarh. Highlighting the critical role of the younger generation, Ghosh stated that India is moving confidently toward its goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047, a national resolve that relies heavily on the energy, talent, and commitment of its youth alongside government efforts.
Describing the “Yuva Sangam” program as a reflection of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary thinking, the Governor noted that it provides an invaluable opportunity for youth from different states to understand each other’s diverse cultures, traditions, and values. He remarked that despite the geographical distance, Haryana and Tripura are bound by a shared heritage of courage and patriotism. He beautifully contrasted Tripura’s rich natural beauty and tribal culture with Haryana’s identity as a land of brave soldiers, top athletes, hardworking farmers, and the holy text of the Bhagavad Gita, stating that together they strengthen India’s spirit of unity in diversity.
