Haryana Governor Prof. Asim Kumar Ghosh Attends Special Screening of Film ‘Nalanda Mahavihara’

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Governor Prof. Asim Kumar Ghosh attended a special screening of the film Nalanda Mahavihara at Lok Bhavan on Friday. The First Lady of Haryana, Mitra Ghosh, accompanied him to the event. Addressing the gathering after the screening, Governor Ghosh lauded the cinematic project as a commendable and sincere effort to preserve and promote the rich historical heritage of the nation through an impactful medium. He remarked that Nalanda was not merely a traditional educational institution but a global epicenter of knowledge that historically drew thousands of scholars, monks, and seekers of truth from all corners of the world, serving as an enduring symbol of India’s intellectual and cultural eminence.

The underlying objective of the film is to foster social awareness and encourage the public to contemplate the timeless values required to build a more responsible, harmonious, and progressive society. The Governor noted that Nalanda Mahavihara balances entertainment with a profound social message, rendering it a highly significant work from both a cultural standpoint and in terms of contemporary relevance. The film has been produced by Deepak Diwan and directed by Arvind Gupta.

The high-profile screening was attended by several prominent dignitaries, including the former Chief Secretary of Haryana, Keshni Anand Arora, Secretary to the Governor, Vijaykumar Bhavikatti, and the Governor’s ADC, Dheeraj Setia. Key members of the film’s cast and crew were also present to mark the occasion.
