Ludhiana (Gurpreet Singh): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini made a strong political pitch in Ludhiana on Sunday, calling for the formation of a Bharatiya Janata Party government in Punjab during the next assembly elections. Speaking at the “Maharshi Kashyap Janmotsav” celebrations, the Chief Minister promised that a BJP-led administration in Punjab would mirror the successful implementation of all pro-people welfare schemes currently operational in Haryana. He further extended a unique gesture of solidarity by stating that the doors of the “Haryana CM House” in Chandigarh remain open to the people of Punjab for any personal or communal assistance, regardless of state boundaries.
During his address, Saini paid a heartfelt tribute to Maharshi Kashyap, describing the ancient sage as a monumental philanthropist and guide who provided a new direction to society through his scholarly contributions. He highlighted the proud legacy of the Kashyap community, referencing historical and religious figures such as King Nishad from the Ramayana and Bhai Himmat Singh, one of the five beloved ones of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The Chief Minister characterized the community as courageous and industrious, urging its members to utilize their full potential to contribute to the constructive development of the nation while promising continued support for the welfare of the Backward Classes.
The Chief Minister also took the opportunity to praise Prime Minister Narendra Modi, labeling him as the most significant benefactor for the Backward Classes in India’s history. He cited the granting of constitutional status to the Central OBC Commission as a primary example of the Prime Minister’s commitment to social equity. Saini urged the gathering to move past the divisions of caste, language, and region to align with the vision of a developed India by 2047. In a pointed critique of the provincial government, he encouraged the public to look beyond the “false promises” of the Aam Aadmi Party and choose a leadership that prioritizes genuine public concern and structured development.
