Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini spent Sunday, April 26, 2026, conducting a series of on-ground inspections across various sectors of Gurugram to evaluate civic amenities and urban infrastructure. Accompanied by Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma, and Pataudi MLA Bimla Chaudhary, the Chief Minister visited critical drainage sites and highway service lanes to ensure that public services are meeting established standards.
During his transit from the PWD Rest House to Gurukamal, the Chief Minister halted his convoy on the NH-48 service lane to personally inspect the quality of sanitation and greenery. Expressing dissatisfaction with certain aspects of road maintenance, he directed officials to ensure that no citizen faces inconvenience regarding basic civic facilities. He emphasized that he is consistently receiving feedback from the public and will continue to conduct surprise visits to hold local departments accountable.
A significant portion of the inspection was dedicated to the Leg-2 drain near Ashok Vihar and Bhimgarh Kheri. The Chief Minister reviewed the ongoing efforts to treat sewage water and issued strict instructions for the continuous cleaning and desilting of the drain. He specifically ordered regular water sampling to monitor pollution levels and directed the strengthening of the drain’s embankments on both sides. High-ranking officials, including Gurugram DC Uttam Singh, Municipal Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya, and Police Commissioner Vikas Arora, were present to receive the direct orders for immediate implementation.
