Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini disbursed ₹1,595.50 crore directly into the bank accounts of 50,04,873 beneficiaries across various welfare initiatives through Direct Benefit Transfer on Monday. The large-scale digital payout reflects the state administration’s focus on transparent governance, direct delivery of social benefits, and strengthening its pro-active service distribution model.
As part of the welfare distribution, Chief Minister Saini released the 10th installment of the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana, transferring ₹209.62 crore to 9.98 lakh female beneficiaries. He announced that starting in September, the annual family income eligibility cap for the scheme will be raised from ₹1 lakh to ₹1.80 lakh, supported by a state budgetary allocation of ₹6,500 crore for the current financial year. Additionally, the state disbursed ₹1,124.94 crore across 15 social security pension categories—including old-age and disability allowances—to 34.93 lakh citizens, leveraging the Parivar Pehchan Patra database to automatically identify eligible individuals without requiring manual applications.
The financial transfer also covered several targeted state support programs. Under the Dayalu scheme, ₹234.77 crore was provided to 6,224 families facing severe hardship or accidental losses, while ₹19.17 crore was transferred to 4.93 lakh women as the June gas cylinder subsidy under the Har Ghar-Har Grihini scheme. Furthermore, Chief Minister Saini released ₹7 crore in financial incentives to 13,237 farmers who adopted green manure cultivation across 70,000 acres during the Kharif 2026 season. Senior officials, including Additional Chief Secretary Dr. G. Anupama and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Arun Gupta, attended the event in Chandigarh.
