Gurpreet Singh :- A case of alleged desecration of Gutka Sahib has come to light in Malout, triggering concern among local residents and religious groups. The incident was reported from the Indira Nagar area, where more than 20 torn pages of the holy Gutka Sahib were found scattered.
According to available information, local residents promptly collected the scattered pages and placed them at a safe location with due respect before informing the police about the incident.
Acting on the complaint, the Malout police have registered a case against unidentified persons and initiated an investigation. Officials stated that efforts are underway to identify those responsible for the act.
Meanwhile, several religious organisations convened a meeting at Gurdwara Sri Bhai Jagta Ji to discuss the matter and express their concern. They have urged authorities to take strict action against the culprits and ensure that such incidents do not recur.
