Sabhajinagar (Gurpreet Singh): Core members of the youth-led Cockroach Janta Party are set to convene at the residence of founder Abhijeet Dipke in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, on August 5 to map out their future strategic roadmap. Party sources confirmed that activists and volunteers were encouraged to take a brief hiatus to spend quality time with their families following an intense, month-long demonstration at New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar over the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test paper leak controversy.
In the lead-up to the August 5 assembly, members of the core committee have been collecting ground-level feedback, insights, and policy proposals directly from students and grassroots volunteers across various regions. The organisation plans to address the media in a formal press conference shortly after the internal discussions conclude to publicly unveil its upcoming strategic agenda and operational decisions. Over the weekend, Dipke spent time interacting with local students, visitors from neighbouring districts, and young children at his home to mark Friendship Day.
The sustained agitation spearheaded by the group in the national capital saw significant engagement from Gen Z youth across the country, culminating in the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. In recent public declarations, Dipke called upon central government authorities to withdraw all police charges registered against student protesters during the Delhi demonstrations, advocating for an immediate end to police overreach alongside systemic reforms in national entrance examinations.
