Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has urged BJP workers to strengthen the party organisation at the grassroots level and take the message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service and governance to people across the state.
Saini was speaking at the responsibility-assumption programme of newly appointed BJP OBC Morcha Haryana president engineer Sunil Sen at Panchkamal in Panchkula on Tuesday.
Saini Calls Organisation A Responsibility, Not A Post
Congratulating Sunil Sen on his new responsibility, Saini said positions in the BJP should be viewed as responsibilities towards public service and the organisation rather than as posts.
He said the party’s 46-year journey had been built on the efforts and dedication of its workers, and called upon the OBC Morcha to expand its reach to the last person in society.
The Chief Minister also urged workers to actively participate in the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, being observed from September 17 to October 17.
BJP OBC Morcha Asked To Strengthen Booth-Level Network
BJP state president Dr Archana Gupta asked the OBC Morcha to focus on strengthening the organisation at the booth level.
She called for connecting OBC workers, panches, sarpanches, councillors and other public representatives with the organisation across assembly constituencies and areas where the party’s presence needs to be expanded.
Gupta said the OBC Morcha should work with the objective of strengthening the party’s organisational network across Haryana.
BJP Highlights OBC Welfare Measures
Gupta highlighted measures taken by the Narendra Modi government for the OBC community, including constitutional status for the National Commission for Backward Classes and the implementation of 27% reservation for OBC candidates in the All India Quota for undergraduate and postgraduate medical and dental seats.
She also referred to the PM Vishwakarma scheme, which provides support to traditional artisans through training, modern tools, credit and market linkages.
Focus On Modernising Traditional OBC Skills
Gupta said traditional skills could be connected with modern technology, training and better market access to create new employment and income opportunities.
She stressed the need to take traditional craftsmanship to domestic and international markets by combining existing skills with modern production and marketing methods.
Cabinet ministers Krishan Lal Panwar and Ranbir Gangwa, former state BJP president and chairman Mohan Lal Badoli, MLAs, state presidents of various party wings, organisational office-bearers and workers attended the programme.
