National Times Bureau :- Himachal Pradesh experienced its first widespread snowfall of the season on Friday, finally breaking a nearly three-month-long dry period across the state. Although higher regions such as Lahaul and Spiti and parts of Chamba had witnessed snowfall earlier, most mountain areas had remained dry until now. The fresh spell of snow has now reached several regions, bringing a major change in weather conditions. Snowfall was reported not only in the high-altitude areas of Shimla and Kinnaur but also in parts of the state capital.
