New Delhi, December 10, 2024 – The central government has ramped up its subsidy disbursements significantly in the current fiscal year, surpassing the amounts spent during the same periods in the last two years. According to a Bank of Baroda report, total subsidies reached ₹2.49 lakh crore from April to October 2024, compared to ₹2.32 lakh crore in 2023 and ₹2.39 lakh crore in 2022 for the same period.
