Chandigarh (Gurpreet Singh): The Punjab administration has stepped up preparations for the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 of electoral rolls by organising special verification camps across the state on July 11 and 12. Although the two days fall during the holiday period, government and government-aided schools functioning as polling stations have been instructed to remain open to support the exercise. The initiative is aimed at ensuring that voter records are updated within the scheduled timeframe.
