Abhishek Sharma Visits Golden Temple on Diwali, Prays for ‘Sarbat da Bhala’ With Mother

Amritsar (Gurpreet Singh): Indian cricketer Abhishek Sharma marked Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas with a spiritual visit to Amritsar’s revered religious sites, seeking blessings for himself and praying for the well-being of all humanity.

Accompanied by his mother, the cricketer first paid obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib, popularly known as the Golden Temple. He spent time at the shrine and offered an ardas, with the message of ‘Sarbat da Bhala’ — the welfare of all.

The mother-son duo later visited Gurudwara Shaheedan Sahib, where Abhishek once again bowed his head and sought the blessings of the Guru.

His visit coincided with the festive celebrations at the Golden Temple, which witnessed a large gathering of devotees arriving from different parts of India and abroad. The shrine was adorned with decorative lights, creating a special atmosphere for Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas.

Abhishek, who hails from Amritsar, has established himself as an aggressive batter in Indian cricket. Despite his growing international career, the cricketer continues to maintain his connection with his hometown and visits the city whenever possible.

His appearance at the holy shrines during the festival also drew attention from devotees and cricket fans celebrating the occasion.
