AAP Accuses BJP Of Inducting Leaders Facing Serious Allegations, Aman Arora Calls Punjab Government Dream ‘Mungeri Lal Ka Haseen Sapna’

Chandigarh (Gurpreet Singh): The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday hit out at the BJP, stating that it wants to win Punjab with the help of leaders facing rape charges, serious corruption allegations and cases involving firing at Punjab Police.

The party said that instead of building its own leadership and organisational base in Punjab, the BJP is inducting individuals who had already been suspended, removed or distanced by other political parties over their conduct. AAP pointed out that it had taken action against its own MLAs, while the BJP was welcoming such individuals into its ranks.

In a statement, AAP Punjab President Aman Arora said that the BJP is inducting leaders facing serious allegations because it lacked leadership, an agenda and an organisational base in Punjab. He stated, “Yesterday, Punjab witnessed how the BJP is inducting leaders from other parties who face serious allegations, whether relating to corruption, rape or incidents of firing at the police. The BJP has neither leadership, nor any agenda, nor a political base in Punjab, which is why it is resorting to inducting such individuals.”

Aman Arora further said, “The people of Punjab understand everything very well. If the BJP believes that it can form a government in Punjab by relying on such individuals, it is nothing more than a Mungeri Lal Ka Haseen Sapna. The entire state has seen the BJP’s anti-Punjab intentions.”

Meanwhile, AAP Punjab Media In-charge Baltej Pannu said that the BJP is celebrating the induction of individuals whom the Aam Aadmi Party had already distanced itself from because of their conduct. He stated, “The BJP is extremely happy about inducting three MLAs who had already been distanced from the Aam Aadmi Party. One of them faces a rape case, while another showed no sensitivity even when innocent children lost their lives. These were precisely the reasons why the party had taken action against them and distanced itself from them.”

Baltej Pannu added, “The Aam Aadmi Party is not going to be affected by the departure of two or three individuals. Our party stands on its principles and its commitment to Punjab. No individual is bigger than the organisation.”

In a statement, the AAP affirmed, “The Aam Aadmi Party was formed to change the country’s politics and free it from corruption, opportunism and the politics of power. For us, Punjab’s interests have always come before individual leaders, political positions or party considerations. Whenever anyone within our organisation has acted against Punjab’s interests or violated the party’s principles, we have taken action without hesitation. We have demonstrated that no individual is bigger than the party’s principles or the interests of Punjab.”

The party further stated, “The BJP’s conduct stands in complete contrast. Instead of building an organisation among the people of Punjab or earning their confidence through public service, it is busy collecting leaders who have been rejected, suspended or removed by other political parties. The BJP has effectively turned itself into a ‘kabaad di dukaan’, where politically discarded individuals are being welcomed without any consideration for their conduct or past actions.”
