Haryana Chief Minister Announces 1.2 Billion Rupee Circuit House at Brahmasarovar, Launches Seva Sankalp Drive

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced a major infrastructure initiative to boost tourism and pilgrimage in Kurukshetra, approving the construction of a state-of-the-art Circuit House on the southern banks of the sacred Brahmasarovar at an estimated cost of 1.2 billion rupees (120 crore). The Chief Minister made the announcement while addressing attendees at the Purushottampura Bagh during the “Aashirwad Ka Diya” lamp-lighting ceremony and voluntary blood donation drive organized under the month-long “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.”

Commemorating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday and Vishwakarma Jayanti, the event transformed the historic banks of Brahmasarovar into a grand civic gathering featuring the illumination of roughly 125,000 earthen lamps, a Maha Aarti, and a high-tech drone show depicting flagship national welfare initiatives and modern technological advancements. Chief Minister Saini paid homage to the Bhagavad Gita’s philosophy of selfless action, equating voluntary blood donation with true Karma Yoga. He honoured participating donors and flagged off two Mobile Medical Units staffed with physicians, nurses, and pharmacists to deliver routine diagnostic check-ups directly to local communities.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, running through October 17, marks a broader public movement rather than a routine government campaign. Marking Modi’s upcoming 25-year milestone in continuous constitutional governance, Saini urged citizens to actively participate in upcoming statewide activities encompassing health check-up camps, environmental preservation, tree plantation, sanitation drives, and empowerment programs. He also emphasized regional infrastructure achievements, citing Kurukshetra’s elevated railway track and Highway 152-D alongside national advancements such as the regional deployment of India’s first hydrogen train and the expansion of Vande Bharat connectivity. State BJP President Dr. Archana Gupta also addressed the gathering, commending Modi’s quarter-century record in public service.
