Chandigarh (Gurpreet Singh): The war of words between Himanshi Khurana and her former partner Asim Riaz appears to be getting sharper, with Himanshi issuing a detailed response after Asim’s recent “fame digger” remark.
The controversy began after Himanshi spoke about her past relationship during a podcast with Paras Chhabra. During the conversation, she discussed her spiritual journey and alleged that she had faced pressure to change her religion while she was in the relationship. Asim later rejected the allegation, stating that he had never forced her to change her faith.
Soon after, Asim shared a cryptic message on social media about people who, according to him, become attached to a person’s fame, name and public standing rather than the person themselves. He suggested that some relationships could be driven by personal ambition and described such behaviour as using someone else’s established identity for individual gain.
Himanshi Says She Will Not Stay Silent
Without taking Asim’s name in her response, Himanshi posted a lengthy statement defending her decision to speak about her personal experiences.
She said she had always been careful and respectful while discussing different phases of her life publicly, whether it involved her time on Bigg Boss, her spiritual beliefs or struggles related to her health.
Himanshi also addressed the controversy over her earlier remarks, saying she had not herself used the term “forceful conversion” and claimed that the narrative had been shaped by others and sections of the media.
However, she indicated that she was no longer willing to remain silent if her personal experiences and struggles continued to be questioned or ridiculed.
‘I Am Prepared to Share the Facts’
Himanshi’s statement took a more serious turn when she said she was prepared to bring forward what she described as evidence.
She referred to CCTV footage and recordings and mentioned an incident from the early hours of November 27, 2023. She also made allegations regarding violence that she said she had suffered.
Her message suggested that if the public dispute continued to revolve around demands for proof, she was ready to present her side with supporting material.
She further alleged that certain people from production houses and television channels had previously remained silent or helped protect another person’s image, adding that she no longer intended to do the same.
Former Couple’s Dispute Returns to Spotlight
The latest social media exchange has once again drawn attention to the former couple’s relationship, which had remained a major talking point among fans since their time in the public eye.
Himanshi concluded her statement by questioning why she should face criticism for speaking about her own journey when others are also free to share their personal experiences.
