Haryana Cooperation Minister Directs Swift Resolution of Public Grievances at Charkhi Dadri Meet

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Cooperation Minister Dr. Arvind Kumar Sharma stated that the state administration must prioritize public welfare works to ensure citizens do not have to make unnecessary rounds of government offices to access welfare schemes. Presiding over a meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee in Charkhi Dadri on Saturday, the minister directed departmental officials to ensure swift and decisive action on all public complaints. Out of the 11 public grievances placed on the agenda during the session, 9 long-standing issues were resolved directly on the spot, while the remaining two were kept pending under strict administrative timelines.

The minister emphasized that the state’s grievance response mechanism aligns directly with the zero-tolerance policy against corruption and administrative lethargy championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nayab Singh सैनी. Reflecting on governance milestones, he noted that the administrative framework over the past twelve years has focused extensively on delivering direct benefits and improved facilities to every section of society, including farmers, youth, soldiers, and traders. He warned that any loose coordination or defensive buck-passing among different government departments would not be tolerated moving forward.

During the hearings, a severe medical negligence complaint emerged regarding a hospital team that allegedly left a surgical bandage inside a patient’s body during childbirth. Taking strict notice of the matter, the minister ordered the police department to launch a detailed probe and initiate criminal proceedings against the guilty medical staff. Additionally, addressing institutional delays in public infrastructure, he directed development agencies to complete all pending construction and testing of the new Mini-Secretariat within one month, alongside an order to replace power cables from the Ghasola powerhouse to Chidya Mod to resolve local electricity disruptions.
