Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi Assures Narwana Region Will Emerge as Major Development Hub

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi stated that rural development remains the top priority of the state government, with a clear objective to equip rural areas with modern, urban-like amenities. Addressing a public gathering at Phren Kalan village in the Narwana constituency on Saturday, the minister emphasized that comprehensive infrastructure upgrades are driving rapid progress across the region. He noted that the ongoing administrative initiatives aim to make villages self-reliant and economically vibrant, ensuring that rural populations have direct access to all essential services.

During his visit, the minister rolled out development projects worth 1.43 crore rupees for Phren Kalan village under various department budgets. He laid the foundation stone for a modern Gram Sachivalaya under the Panchayati Raj Department, which is being constructed at an estimated cost of 88.25 lakh rupees to provide multiple civic services under one roof. Additionally, he inaugurated two newly paved streets completed for 24 lakh rupees and laid the foundation stone for a government veterinary dispensary valued at 31 lakh rupees under the animal husbandry department to improve livestock healthcare access.

The minister underscored that education, health, development, and trust form the core pillars of the state’s governance model under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. He stated that robust road connectivity, upgraded electricity supply, clean drinking water systems, and reliable infrastructure are vital for improving the quality of rural life and generating local commercial opportunities. Responding to a dozen localized demands raised by the village panchayat—including sports stadiums, drinking water pipelines, school science laboratories, and boundary walls—the minister assured the community that all valid public works would be completed promptly to discourage youth migration to urban centers.
