Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini Launches Tree Plantation Drive at Sant Kabir Kutir to Promote Environment Conservation

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini initiated a high-profile state-wide environmental protection drive by planting a sapling at his official residence, Sant Kabir Kutir, on Saturday. The ecological campaign was launched in the presence of Haryana Minister of State for Sports, Gaurav Gautam. The initiative underscores the state government’s growing administrative focus on expanding green cover, improving air quality, and integrating community-led forestry programs into urban and rural governance models.

Following the plantation ceremony, Chief Minister Saini addressed the public, emphasizing that environmental conservation has become the most critical operational necessity of the modern era. He noted that in order to make the planet clean, green, and completely pollution-free, every individual must actively align with ongoing afforestation initiatives. Saini described trees as the absolute foundation of human survival, stating that extensive green belts not only purify the immediate atmosphere but also guarantee an ecologically secure and sustainable future for oncoming generations.

Urging comprehensive civic involvement across the state, the Chief Minister made an appeal to all citizens of Haryana to plant maximum number of saplings in their respective localities and commit to their regular maintenance. He highlighted that institutional targets cannot succeed without sustained public participation, making community involvement vital for successful climate resilience. Minister Gaurav Gautam echoed these sentiments, noting that the sports and youth welfare departments would actively mobilize youth clubs and local athletes to lead synchronized environmental protection and plantation rallies across various districts to support the state’s green vision.
