Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini Launches Mega Training Campaign, Highlights Welfare Achievements in Yamunanagar

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini officially inaugurated a comprehensive two-day training campaign in Yamunanagar on Saturday, explicitly reaffirming that pro-farmer policies remain the core focus of his administration. Prior to the launch, the Chief Minister visited the sacred Adi Badri Narayan Temple—the revered point of origin of the Saraswati River—where he performed prayers for the overall progress and prosperity of the state. As part of the event, Saini also inaugurated a state-level exhibition showcasing Haryana’s major development projects and technological milestones.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Saini highlighted a series of expansive social security schemes aimed at empowering women and vulnerable families. He noted that under the Deendayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana, which provides ₹2100 in financial aid to boost socio-economic security for women, the government has already disbursed ₹1415 crore to nearly 9.76 lakh beneficiaries. Additionally, to assist lower-income households, subsidized gas cylinders are being provided at just ₹500 per month, with ₹243 crore successfully transferred directly into the bank accounts of over 14.38 lakh eligible women across the state.

The Chief Minister placed heavy emphasis on the state’s extensive agricultural support structure, declaring Haryana a pioneer in safeguarding farmers against market uncertainties. Haryana is currently procuring all 24 major crops at the Minimum Support Price, a measure that has facilitated the direct transfer of ₹1.80 lakh crore into the bank accounts of 12 lakh farmers. Over the last eleven years, the state has distributed ₹16,160 crore in crop damage compensation and PM Fasal Bima Yojana claims. Furthermore, under the PM-KISAN scheme, ₹7,562 crore has been delivered to roughly 20.18 lakh farmers across 22 installments. Saini also noted that agricultural modernization is actively being incentivized, with over 1.10 lakh crop residue management machines distributed at a 50% subsidy since 2018 to tackle stubble burning.

The administration’s structural reforms have successfully modernized governance and expanded community benefits across various demographics. Saini announced that the colonial-era ‘Abiana’ (water tax) has been permanently abolished, and property registries have transitioned into a completely paperless, digital format. To support backward classes, the creamy layer income limit was raised from ₹6 lakh to ₹8 lakh, alongside securing institutional reservations in Panchayati Raj and urban local bodies. In terms of public infrastructure and employment, the Chief Minister shared that the ‘Mhara Gaon-Jagmag Gaon’ initiative now delivers 24-hour power supply to 6,019 villages, while the ‘Happy Haryana’ scheme provides 18.20 lakh smart cards enabling impoverished citizens to travel 1,000 kilometers annually for free on state buses. Over the last year alone, 36,000 youth were recruited into government services purely on merit, pushing total state appointments over the past eleven years to 1.80 lakh.
