Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): The Haryana Enterprise Promotion Board (HEPB), chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, recently held its 19th meeting in Chandigarh to greenlight a series of special incentive packages designed to bolster industrial investment and job creation throughout the province. This strategic gathering resulted in the approval of various manufacturing projects spanning sectors such as drone technology, automotive components, and advanced battery systems. By fostering a more robust manufacturing environment, the administration aims to solidify Haryana’s position as a premier industrial hub while generating thousands of new employment opportunities for the local youth.
Among the most significant approvals is a $58.51-million incentive for AITMC Ventures Limited to establish a drone and drone component manufacturing hub in Hisar. This project is expected to significantly enhance the state’s presence in the defence and aerospace manufacturing sectors while creating approximately 800 jobs. Additionally, BEUMER India Private Limited received approval for a $43.05-million package to set up an advanced intralogistics system facility in the Jhajjar district, which will provide modern infrastructure and employment for 138 individuals. These initiatives align with the Haryana Enterprise and Employment Policy-2020, which focuses on sustainable growth and regional development.
The automotive sector also received a substantial boost with several key projects. Subros Limited was granted an incentive of $89.91 million to develop an auto component manufacturing facility in Kharkhoda, Sonipat, expected to create 215 local jobs. Similarly, Mark Exhaust Systems Limited and Jay Bharat Maruti Limited were approved for packages totalling $39.95 million and $43.76 million respectively to strengthen the state’s automotive supply chain. Furthermore, Canpack India will expand its aluminium can production capacity in the Mewat district, while Abhyudaya Print Industries Private Limited will invest in advanced packaging materials, collectively ensuring a diversified industrial landscape that prioritises technological advancement and skill-based employment.
Beyond new projects, the board also addressed existing industrial commitments. ATL Battery Technology (India) Private Limited was granted a final one-year extension for its lithium-ion cell and battery manufacturing project in Sohna, Nuh, under the IT and ESDM Policy-2017. The board also approved a revised incentive package of $157.83 million for Kandhari Beverages Private Limited, reflecting the government’s willingness to adapt policies to suit the evolving needs of investors. Chief Minister Saini emphasized that these decisions are part of a broader effort to provide a seamless ecosystem for business, ensuring that economic progress translates into tangible benefits for all sections of society.
