Chittorgarh (Gurpreet Singh) — Following the announcement of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) 2025 results on Friday, March 6, 2026, national topper Anuj Agnihotri expressed a sense of profound awe, attributing his monumental success to the unwavering support of his family. Speaking from his residence in the nuclear town of Rawatbhata, Chittorgarh district, Agnihotri described the achievement as a “still-processing” moment that marked the culmination of years of dedicated effort and resilience.
As news of his All India Rank (AIR) 1 spread, the Agnihotri household became a hub of celebration, with neighbours and well-wishers gathering to congratulate the young achiever. Anuj, who is already a medical doctor (MBBS) from AIIMS Jodhpur and was serving as a DANICS probationary officer, revealed that this was his third attempt at the coveted examination. “I am extremely happy. It’s an incredible feeling; I’m still taking time to process this success,” he said, noting that while he had secured a service in his first attempt, he remained determined to strive for a higher position that would allow him to serve in a more impactful capacity.
The topper was quick to dedicate his victory to his parents, calling them his “biggest source of inspiration.” He emphasized that his family consistently prioritized his studies and provided a stable environment that allowed him to focus entirely on the rigorous three-stage selection process. His father, K.B. Agnihotri, shared his pride, stating that Anuj had been an exceptional student from the very beginning and that his success was the natural result of his relentless hard work.
The achievement has also drawn praise from high-ranking officials, including Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Chief Minister extended his “heartfelt congratulations,” stating that Anuj had brought immense honour to the state of Rajasthan. He added that such an exceptional achievement would serve as a powerful inspiration for lakhs of youth across the state and expressed confidence that the new cohort of officers would serve the nation with unwavering dedication.
