National Times Bureau :- A journalist from Chandigarh lost his life in a tragic road accident late Sunday night after his motorcycle crashed into a road divider near the Mohali court complex. The incident has once again raised serious concerns over road safety and the lack of immediate emergency response on major urban roads.
According to available information, the victim, identified as Davinder Singh, sustained critical injuries after his motorcycle hit the divider with force. Due to the absence of any emergency medical services at the spot, he could not be shifted to a hospital in time. Eyewitnesses said Singh continued to bleed profusely and succumbed to his injuries at the accident site itself.
The delay in medical assistance proved fatal, highlighting gaps in night-time emergency preparedness in the region. Police reached the spot later and initiated proceedings, while further details surrounding the accident are being examined.
The untimely death of the journalist has cast a pall of gloom over the media fraternity, with colleagues expressing shock and grief over the loss.
