Ajay Khundia Takes Charge as Haryana BJP SC Morcha Chief; CM Saini Urges Grassroots Outreach

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh) — Ajay Khundia formally assumed office as the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Scheduled Caste (SC) Morcha on Tuesday at the party headquarters, Panchkamal. The ceremony took place in the presence of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and BJP State President Dr. Archana Gupta, alongside prominent cabinet ministers and party functionaries.

Addressing party workers, Chief Minister Saini underlined the core philosophy of social equality and unity inspired by Saint Ravidas, Maharishi Valmiki, Saint Kabir, and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He stressed that organizational roles gain true meaning only when representatives actively reach the most marginalized individuals in society. Highlighting state initiatives, Saini cited the establishment of the State SC Commission, a 20 per cent reservation in Class I and Class II government positions, the increase in accidental insurance for sanitation workers to 10 lakh rupees, and dedicated financial assistance for student coaching and housing repairs.

BJP State President Dr. Archana Gupta urged workers to transcend internal divisions and consolidate the Morcha’s presence down to the booth level. She called for actively integrating local elected representatives, including village sarpanches, municipal councillors, and zila parishad members, to broaden the party’s grassroots foundation. The event saw the attendance of senior leaders, including Cabinet Ministers Krishan Lal Panwar and Krishan Bedi, MLA Pawan Kharkhoda, and former state party chief Mohan Lal Badoli.
