Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini Inaugurates Tesla India Motors’ First All-in-One Centre in Gurugram

Gurugram, November 27, 2025: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated Tesla India Motors’ first all-in-one centre in Gurugram on Thursday and said the state is not just a market but a manufacturing powerhouse. He expressed confidence that Tesla will set up its first electric vehicle manufacturing plant in India on Haryana’s soil, along with other associated units.

Addressing the gathering after the inauguration, the Chief Minister said Haryana is continuously working to reduce the cost of doing business for industries. He highlighted the state’s new industrial leasing policy and efforts to strengthen the local supply chain by partnering with companies. Saini said the government has created a dedicated Foreign Cooperation Department to build strong engagement with global investors and has built an “ease of doing business ecosystem” that has placed Haryana among the top achievers in the national rankings.

He added that the state takes pride in its automobile sector, which leads the country in manufacturing passenger vehicles.

Saini said Haryana has emerged as a land of hope and opportunity due to its industry-friendly and investment-friendly policies. The state now contributes 3.6 per cent to India’s GDP. He noted that Haryana’s exports have risen from about ₹70,000 crore before 2014 to over ₹2.75 lakh crore today. The state also ranks second in India and first in North India in providing logistics support to industries.

The Chief Minister said the government revised outdated laws to free businesses from red tape. Through the Jan Vishwas Ordinance, notified on October 11, 2025, the state has decriminalised 164 provisions across 42 state laws. Over the last 11 years, Haryana has seen the establishment of more than 12.2 lakh MSMEs, generating employment for nearly 49 lakh people.

He said Haryana works not only on B2B or G2G models but follows an H2H “heart-to-heart” approach. The state aims to become a $1 trillion economy by 2047 and is promoting start-ups, innovation and technology-based industries with support from global brands like Tesla.

Haryana is now the seventh-largest state in India in terms of the number of start-ups, with over 9,100 recognised ventures. To boost AI-based innovation and research, AI hubs are being set up in Gurugram and Panchkula. The state has also created a dedicated Department of Future Technologies to promote AI, robotics, biotechnology and deep-tech industries. A separate MSME department has been formed, and online filing for Udyam Registration has been launched to support small and medium enterprises.

Several dignitaries including Gurugram Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar, Foreign Cooperation Department advisor Pawan Choudhary, Tesla senior director Isabel Fan and Tesla India GM Sharad Agarwal were present on the occasion.
