New Delhi, November 10, 2025 — Panic gripped the area near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station on Monday evening after a car explosion caused a massive fire. Several injured individuals have been taken to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital for treatment, according to sources.
Eyewitnesses reported a loud blast followed by flames spreading rapidly to nearby vehicles parked in the area. Firefighters and police personnel rushed to the spot and managed to douse the blaze after an intense operation.
The entire vicinity has been sealed off as forensic experts and bomb disposal teams inspect the site. Investigators are also reviewing CCTV footage from around the metro station to determine the cause of the explosion.
Officials said the number of injured is being verified, and emergency teams remain on alert. Police have urged people to stay away from the area until the situation is fully under control.
