Amritsar Police Arrest Two in Connection with Italy-Based Malkit Singh Murder, Seize Weapons

Amritsar (Gurpreet Singh): Amritsar Rural Police have apprehended two suspects, Bikramjit Singh, also known as Bikram, and Karan, in the investigation of the brutal killing of Italy-based Malkit Singh in Raja Sansi.

Police stated that Bikramjit Singh has ties to the Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF) and a history of criminal activity, including cases under the Explosives Act, Attempt to Murder, and Arms Act. He was reportedly involved in a grenade attack at a religious site in Raja Sansi in 2018.

Preliminary findings suggest that Bikramjit obtained illegal weapons from across the border under the instructions of foreign handlers to execute high-profile crimes in Punjab.

During the arrests, authorities recovered a significant cache of firearms: a PX5 foreign-made .30 caliber pistol, a .30 caliber pistol, a .45 caliber foreign-made pistol, a .32 caliber pistol, a revolver, and live ammunition.

Police confirmed that investigations are ongoing to trace the full network, including both upstream and downstream links, with the aim of dismantling organized crime and terror operations in the region.

Punjab Police reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring the safety of citizens and eradicating terror and criminal networks from the state.
