Mansa city shuts down completely-Here’s What Happened

National Times Bureau :- Panic and anger gripped Mansa town on Wednesday, a day after multiple incidents of daylight firing left residents shaken. In protest against the brazen attacks by unidentified assailants, local residents and traders observed a complete shutdown and took to the streets, demanding the immediate arrest of those involved.

The Mansa Bar Council also extended its support to the bandh, suspending all legal work for the day.

Three Firing Incidents Shock the City

The tension began on Tuesday after three separate firing incidents took place in different parts of Mansa.

  1. Bike-borne assailants: Two men on a motorcycle opened fire at three different locations in broad daylight.
  2. Businessmen targeted: The shooters allegedly aimed at three local traders. In one instance, shots were fired at a pesticide shop, narrowly missing the owner.
  3. No casualties, but widespread fear: Fortunately, no one was injured, but the incidents sparked fear and outrage among residents.

Attackers Captured on CCTV

CCTV footage captured the two assailants fleeing after the firing. Eyewitnesses said that while some locals tried to stop them, the attackers managed to escape. During their escape, their motorcycle collided head-on with a woman riding an Activa scooter. All four fell, but the accused quickly got up and fled the scene.

Following the violent events, residents and traders united to demand stronger policing and swift justice. Police teams have launched a manhunt to trace and arrest the shooters, who remain at large.
