Chandigarh, October 26 — Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced that the pace of development in Nalwa has been three times faster than during the Congress regime. He stated that since 2014, projects worth ₹1,168 crore have been completed in Nalwa, compared to ₹377 crore spent during the Congress’s 10-year rule. Out of 120 development announcements made in the past 11 years, 97 have been fulfilled and work on seven more is underway.
Addressing a thanksgiving rally in Hisar’s Nalwa, Saini highlighted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance, the Haryana government continues to advance the motto of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas.” He further said that out of 217 poll promises, 48 have already been fulfilled within a year, and another 90 will be completed by the end of this year.
For Hisar district, Saini mentioned five key projects — setting up an industrial cluster, expanding Hisar Airport into an international cargo hub, establishing a ceramic park, building a guava processing and packaging plant, and constructing a new 800 MW thermal power plant — all progressing rapidly under the state government.
Farmers’ Compensation 13 Times Higher Than Congress Rule
Taking a jibe at the previous Congress government, the Chief Minister said that it released only ₹1,155 crore in compensation for crop losses during its tenure, while the present BJP government has provided ₹15,465 crore directly to farmers’ accounts.

Farmer Welfare Remains Top Priority
Saini reaffirmed that farmers’ prosperity is central to the government’s agenda. The sugarcane support price has been raised to ₹415 per quintal, and all crops are now being purchased at Minimum Support Price (MSP). He said ₹1.48 lakh crore has been credited to the accounts of 12 lakh farmers for crop procurement. The long-standing irrigation fee (Aabiana) system from the British era has been abolished to relieve farmers.
He added that Haryana offers the highest social security pension in India, recently increased from ₹3,000 to ₹3,200 per month. A new “Deendayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana” will start on November 1, providing ₹2,100 monthly financial aid to women from economically weaker sections.
Boosting Self-Reliance Through ‘Vocal for Local’ and ‘Make in India’
The Chief Minister praised Prime Minister Modi’s vision of making India a developed nation by 2047. He said initiatives like ‘Vocal for Local’ and ‘Make in India’ are strengthening self-reliance, while GST reforms have bolstered the economy.
He also mentioned the inauguration of Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar, built at a cost of ₹1,700 crore, which has connected the region to major cities through new air services.

During the event, Saini inaugurated and laid the foundation for three new projects worth ₹22 crore — a ₹4.47 crore welcome gate, the ₹17.21 crore Munshi Prem Chand Library, and the road strengthening project from Muklan to Syahdwa.
Leaders Praise CM’s Visionary Leadership
Former MP Kuldeep Bishnoi described the rally as historic, lauding Saini’s leadership and direct engagement with the people. He said the Chief Minister has rendered the opposition “jobless” by fulfilling promises efficiently. Bishnoi urged citizens to support PM Modi in building a progressive India and strengthen CM Saini’s hands for a prosperous Haryana.
Public Works and Water Supply Minister Ranbir Singh Gangwa said he shares a deep familial connection with Nalwa and thanked the Chief Minister for the region’s special developmental announcements.
Nalwa MLA Randhir Panihar, rally convener, welcomed CM Saini, saying he sees in him the leadership style and vision of former Chief Minister Chaudhary Bhajan Lal. Panihar expressed confidence that the CM would fulfill all the demands submitted by the people of Nalwa.
Prominent attendees included MLA Savitri Jindal, former ministers Captain Abhimanyu, Dr. Kamal Gupta, Anoop Dhanak, Hisar Mayor Praveen Popli, and several other dignitaries.
