Haryana Raises Dearness Allowance for Employees and Pensioners

Chandigarh, 24 October – The Haryana government has announced an increase in the dearness allowance (DA) for state employees and dearness relief (DR) for pensioners and family pensioners. The DA and DR rates have been raised from 55 percent to 58 percent, effective from 1 July 2025.

The announcement was made through a circular issued by Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Rastogi, who also holds the additional charge of the Finance Department. Under the revised rates, the increased DA and DR will be paid along with the October 2025 salaries and pensions. Arrears for the period from July to September 2025 will be disbursed in November 2025.

This move aims to help employees and pensioners cope with rising inflation and provide timely financial relief. The government emphasized that the decision is in line with its commitment to safeguard the economic welfare of its workforce and retirees.
