National Times Bureau :- A bizarre incident unfolded at Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar International Airport on Tuesday when a passenger was bitten by a rat that crawled into his trousers. The man, identified as Arun Modi from Bhopal, was waiting with his wife for a flight to Bengaluru when the unexpected attack occurred around 1 pm in the departure hall.
According to witnesses, the rat entered Modi’s pants while he was seated, causing him to panic and stand up. During the struggle to remove the rodent, he suffered a bite on his leg and had to remove part of his clothing to escape. Airport staff quickly intervened and took him to the medical room, but no tetanus or rabies vaccination was available on-site. Modi later received proper treatment after reaching Bengaluru.
This is not the first time passengers have reported encounters with rodents and stray animals at the airport. The incident has raised serious questions about hygiene standards and emergency medical facilities at Indore airport.
