National Times Bureau :- Amritsar Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni has announced that technical teams from the Public Works Department will be deployed to assess the structural safety of homes in flood-affected areas.
The move comes as water levels begin to recede in several villages, raising concerns about the stability of damaged structures. Sahni said the initiative aims to prevent any loss of life due to weakened buildings.
Authorities have urged residents to cooperate with the inspection teams and avoid entering homes deemed unsafe until clearance is granted.
