National Times Bureau :- Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Friday strongly condemned the violence between Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers outside the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee headquarters in Patna, asserting that “falsehood and violence cannot stand before truth and non-violence.”
The clash erupted during a BJP protest march against derogatory remarks allegedly made about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late mother at a stage linked to Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’. BJP workers, raising slogans in Darbhanga over the same issue, marched to the Congress office at Sadaqat Ashram in Patna. Congress alleged that BJP workers vandalized the premises and attacked its party members during the protest.
Rahul Gandhi, who is leading the ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra,’ posted on X: “Falsehood and violence cannot stand before truth and non-violence. Attack as much as you want, we will continue to protect the truth and the Constitution. Satyamev Jayate.”
Friday marked the 13th day of his yatra, which began in Bettiah (West Champaran) in the morning and reached Gopalganj by the afternoon.
