National Times Bureau :- A delegation representing the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has extended a formal invitation to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to participate in the 350th martyrdom anniversary celebrations of the Ninth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, scheduled to be held at Sri Anandpur Sahib.
Acting under the directives of SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, the delegation led by Dharam Parchar Committee member Bhai Ajaib Singh Abhiaasi met the Chief Minister and handed over the invitation letter. The team also briefed him about the ongoing Shaheedi Nagar Kirtan, which commenced from Assam and will traverse various states, including Uttar Pradesh, before culminating at Sri Anandpur Sahib.
The delegation included Bhai Ajaib Singh Abhiaasi, Brijpal Singh (in-charge of UP Sikh Mission, Hapur), Dr. Gurmeet Singh (President, Gurdwara Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, Yahiyaganj, Lucknow) and Parvinder Singh (Member, UP Minority Commission).
According to Bhai Ajaib Singh Abhiaasi, invitations are being extended across the country to prominent personalities for the historic events, scheduled for November, to commemorate the supreme sacrifices of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji, and Bhai Dyal Ji.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath assured the SGPC delegation of his participation in the celebrations and pledged full support in facilitating the Nagar Kirtan during its passage through Uttar Pradesh. He entrusted the responsibility of all necessary arrangements to State Minister Baldev Singh Aulakh and assured that the Nagar Kirtan will be accorded an official welcome throughout the state.
