On Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee’s Martyrdom Day, CM Nayab Singh Saini Pays Tribute

“Dr. Mookerjee’s Ideals Continue to Inspire Every Indian,” Says Haryana Chief Minister

Chandigarh, June 23 – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini paid heartfelt tribute to Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee on the occasion of his Balidan Diwas (Martyrdom Day) on Monday. Offering flowers at Dr. Mookerjee’s statue, the Chief Minister honored his memory and also marked the occasion with a symbolic tree plantation, spreading the message of environmental conservation.

Speaking at the event, CM Saini praised Dr. Mookerjee’s lifelong dedication to the nation, describing him as a symbol of sacrifice, nationalism, and unwavering commitment to national unity. “His powerful slogan ‘There cannot be two Prime Ministers, two flags, and two constitutions in one nation’ still echoes in our national conscience,” he said.

The Chief Minister credited Dr. Mookerjee with ending the permit system in Jammu and Kashmir, thereby strengthening India’s unity. He further added that Dr. Mookerjee’s sacrifices continue to guide the nation’s path forward.

CM Saini also emphasized the fulfillment of Dr. Mookerjee’s dream under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “It is a matter of pride that PM Modi walked the path shown by Dr. Mookerjee and revoked Article 370, realizing the vision of a united and integrated India,” he said.
