Chandigarh, June 10 – A successful yoga protocol training camp was organized today at the Haryana Assembly premises as part of the preparations for International Yoga Day 2025. The event was jointly hosted by the Haryana Yoga Commission, the Haryana Assembly, and the AYUSH Department. Fifteen MLAs, along with officers and employees of the Assembly, participated in the training session.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, who attended the event as the chief guest, underlined the importance of yoga in building a healthy and drug-free society. He stated that the government aims to create a “yoga-oriented, drug-free, and yoga-filled Haryana.” He added that the 11th International Yoga Day is being celebrated nationwide as a grand festival. In Haryana, the celebrations began early with a Yoga Mahotsav held on May 27. Since then, various departments, organizations, the army, and paramilitary forces have been actively involved to raise awareness about health and wellness through yoga.


The Chief Minister also announced that on June 21, over one lakh people will perform yoga at the holy Brahma Sarovar in Kurukshetra, under the guidance of yoga guru Swami Ramdev. He described this as a proud moment for the state.
Haryana Assembly Deputy Speaker Krishan Lal Middha shared the message “Practice Yoga, Stay Healthy” and encouraged citizens to incorporate yoga into their daily routines. He noted that lakhs of citizens from across the state will participate in the statewide health movement on June 21.
The protocol training session was conducted under the guidance of Haryana Yoga Commission Chairman Dr. Jaideep Arya. Registrar Dr. Rajkumar led the session, with yoga instructors Dr. Jaspreet Kaur and Priyanka supporting. Yoga athletes Dev and Abhay from Yogasan Bharat delivered a remarkable performance showcasing advanced yoga postures. The training began with prayer, followed by light exercises, yoga asanas, pranayama, meditation, and concluded with a peace chant.
Prominent figures present included Haryana Yoga Commission Vice Chairman Dr. Roshan Lal and AYUSH Department Director General Sanjeev Verma, along with other dignitaries.
