The celebrations have already begun across Haryana with a cleanliness campaign that started on May 27, 2025. Yoga classes are also underway in preparation for the event. CM Saini emphasized that yoga is not just about individual well-being it embodies India’s ancient philosophies gifted by sages. “Yoga and meditation were given to us as gifts by our rishis. Practicing yoga keeps a person healthy and fit,” he said.

Highlighting global recognition, he recalled how Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposed Yoga Day at the United Nations, which received approval from 177 countries. “The practice that originated on our land has now reached every corner of the world thanks to our Prime Minister,” he added.

This year’s International Yoga Day theme is “One Earth, One Health.” Haryana has aligned with the theme and also integrated it into a local vision of “Yoga-filled, Drug-free Haryana.” CM Saini urged NGOs, traders’ associations, and all organizations to contribute to the success of the event and requested Patanjali Yogpeeth to extend yoga invitations to every household.
