Biden’s Cancer Diagnosis Sparks Political Firestorm as Trump Allies Question Timing, Motive

Washington (National Times): President Joe Biden’s recent prostate cancer diagnosis has quickly become a flashpoint for political speculation, with far-right commentator Laura Loomer alleging a cover-up and questioning the timing of the announcement.

Loomer, a vocal supporter of former President Donald Trump, took to X (formerly Twitter) to suggest that Biden’s condition is terminal and that public disclosure has been deliberately delayed.

“Terminal is 6 months to a year left to live,” she wrote. “I suspect Biden’s treatment isn’t responding anymore, which is why the family is only now admitting he is terminally ill.”

The White House has stated that Biden’s condition is hormone-sensitive and manageable, though no detailed prognosis has been released. Loomer’s posts, however, claim the cancer has spread to the bone and imply that internal Democratic politics may have influenced the announcement’s timing.

“This is a PR strategy,” Loomer asserted, linking the news to an upcoming book that reportedly details an internal cover-up of Biden’s health problems.

In contrast to the incendiary remarks, national leaders expressed empathy and solidarity. Former President Trump issued a message through Truth Social: “Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis… we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery.”

Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband Doug Emhoff echoed the sentiment, stating: “We are keeping him, Dr. Biden, and their entire family in our hearts and prayers during this time.”

Biden’s age and health have been frequent topics in the political arena, especially as the 2024 presidential campaign intensifies. While critics and conspiracy theorists have used the diagnosis to cast doubt on Biden’s ability to serve, others have rallied behind him, highlighting his resilience and leadership.

Further medical updates are awaited as the administration navigates both the president’s health and growing political scrutiny.
