Chandigarh, March 3 – Haryana’s Forest and Wildlife Minister Rao Narbir Singh emphasized the need for wildlife conservation to maintain ecological balance. He urged people to take a pledge to protect animals and birds.
Speaking at an event in Jhabua village, Bawal subdivision, on World Wildlife Conservation Day, Minister Singh highlighted ongoing conservation efforts. He released male and female peafowls from the breeding center, which spans 748 acres of reserved forest. The center shelters chinkaras, peafowls, deer, and other wildlife species.
Expanding Conservation Projects
Singh stated that the Forest and Wildlife Department is actively working in various districts to protect and restore wildlife. A jungle safari project is being developed in the Aravalli mountain range, aimed at wildlife conservation and job creation.
Call for Public Participation
The minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to preserving endangered species and urged citizens to actively contribute to wildlife protection efforts.
